Proxy FAQ for business teams

Straight answers on billing, payment, proxy types, rollout, compliance and refunds, for the people who approve the spend and the people who run the work. Need something more specific? Ask our support team.

The commercial terms, in one table

A summary for whoever signs off the spend. Every row is covered in more depth in the answers further down.

Billing Pay as you go, per GB, in US dollars. No subscription, contract or minimum spend.
Order term A fixed 30 days from purchase. Unused data does not carry over to the next order.
Payment Card through Stripe, or USDT, Bitcoin and Ethereum through Cryptomus, paid order by order at checkout.
Invoices One for every completed payment, under Dashboard → History.
Delivery Automatic once payment clears, with credentials in the dashboard and by email.
Support People on duty 24/7, reachable by ticket, email or the contact form.
Faulty orders Dead-on-arrival proxies reported within 24 hours of delivery are replaced or refunded.

Evaluating the service

Proxy bandwidth for business workflows, sold pay as you go. There are four proxy types (Datacenter, Residential, Mobile 4G/5G and Residential Premium), all billed per gigabyte in US dollars. Orders are delivered instantly, coverage spans 55+ countries and people staff support 24/7. Your team signs no subscription or contract, and there is no minimum spend.
Four, each with its own starting rate per GB: Datacenter from $3.50, Residential from $3.99, Mobile 4G/5G from $4.50 and Residential Premium from $6.50. All of them work over HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5, so the tools your team already uses can run on any type. The proxies page lays them out side by side.
It is automatic. Once payment clears, the credentials appear in the dashboard and go out by email, with no manual review and no waiting list. Delivery runs around the clock, so an order placed late on a Friday goes live just as quickly as one placed on a Monday morning.
No. Each proxy is a set of connection details: an IP address, a port, a username and a password. They go into any browser, script or tool that accepts HTTP/HTTPS or SOCKS5 proxies, and there is no software to deploy. Whatever your team connects to, that site’s terms of service still apply.
There is no free trial. Because billing is per GB with no minimum spend, the sensible route is a small first order, from as little as 1 GB, run against one real workflow. If it performs, scale up; if it does not, very little has been spent finding out.
Price and SEO monitoring, ad verification, market research, brand protection, collecting public web data, and checking how sites and offers appear to customers in other regions. Your organisation is responsible for using proxies lawfully and within the terms of every site it accesses, and our acceptable use policy sets out the rules.
It depends on the workload. Occasional spot checks use very little, while large scraping runs or image-heavy pages use far more. Each order has a fixed 30-day validity, so start with a modest amount, watch consumption in the dashboard and top up once the pattern is clear. The proxy calculator gives a first estimate.
Yes, through the reseller programme. After your application is approved you receive an API key and can create a separate proxy login for each client, sold under your own brand at prices you set.

Budgets, billing & payment

By the gigabyte, in US dollars, at the rate for the proxy type you order. Nothing is charged per proxy and there is no monthly fee: you decide how many GB an order includes and pay for it once. Starting rates are $3.50/GB for Datacenter, $3.99/GB for Residential, $4.50/GB for Mobile 4G/5G and $6.50/GB for Residential Premium.
No. Every order is a single pay-as-you-go purchase. There is no recurring subscription, nothing to sign and no minimum spend, so each order can be sized to the job in front of your team.
Every order runs for a fixed 30 days from purchase, whether or not the data is used. The term is identical for all orders and cannot be lengthened or shortened, so the only decision is how many GB to buy. When more is needed, place another order.
The order closes at whichever point comes first: its data is fully used, or its 30-day validity ends. Unused data does not carry over into the next order. A new order can be placed from the dashboard at any time.
Debit and credit cards, processed by Stripe, and cryptocurrency (USDT, Bitcoin or Ethereum), processed by Cryptomus. Each order is paid at checkout with one of those methods.
Yes. USDT, Bitcoin and Ethereum are accepted alongside cards. A crypto payment is confirmed automatically once the transaction has collected the network confirmations it needs, and the order is delivered at that point.
No. There is no prepaid balance to top up. Each order is paid on its own at checkout, by card or crypto, and gets its own invoice, which makes every charge easy to match to a purchase.
Prices are listed in US dollars. If tax applies to your order, checkout calculates it and shows it before you confirm, so the total you approve is the total that is charged.
Every completed payment has an invoice ready to download. Open Dashboard → History and choose “View” on the relevant row to open or save it.
Orders are charged at the per-GB rate for their type, with no minimum. Residential data bought at one of the fixed bundle sizes is the exception: it is charged the bundle price shown at checkout, which can work out lower per GB. If your team expects a very large or ongoing volume, contact us to talk through your requirements.

Matching proxy types to workflows

Datacenter proxies (from $3.50/GB) run on servers in data centres, which makes them quick and the lowest-priced option. Residential proxies (from $3.99/GB) use IP addresses that belong to real home connections. Mobile 4G/5G proxies (from $4.50/GB) route traffic over mobile carrier networks. Residential Premium (from $6.50/GB) is the top residential tier, kept for the most demanding workloads. Every type is charged by the gigabyte and works over HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5.
A practical rule: Datacenter for high-volume, cost-sensitive jobs on sites that are relaxed about automated traffic; Residential when the work needs ordinary consumer IPs, such as checking local prices or ad placements; Mobile when you specifically need carrier IPs, for example to test a mobile app; Residential Premium for the most demanding targets. If you are unsure, test with a small order or compare the options in our guides.
Datacenter IPs come from servers in data centres, so they are fast and inexpensive to supply. Residential IPs are assigned by internet service providers to real households, so websites see an ordinary home connection. That pool is sourced in an entirely different way, which is why its per-GB rate is higher.
From people who opted in to share their connection, so the pool is ethically sourced and consent-based. We keep no traffic logs of what your team does through those IPs. The about page explains how the pool is put together, which is useful background for a compliance review.
Yes. Traffic is routed through real 4G and 5G carrier networks, so the sites you reach see a mobile carrier connection. Mobile proxies are billed per GB like the other types, from $4.50/GB.
Yes. Orders are independent, so a Datacenter order for bulk monitoring can run alongside a Residential order for local checks, with both managed from one dashboard. To cover several markets in one purchase, look at the mix packages.

Rollout & access control

After purchase, the connection details (IP, port, username and password) are listed under Dashboard → My Proxies and sent by email. Paste them into the proxy settings of the browser, scraper or monitoring tool your team uses; nothing needs installing. Our setup guides cover popular tools step by step.
Two: a username and password, issued with the order, or an IP whitelist that you manage in the dashboard. You can switch between them whenever you like. A whitelist is the better fit when a tool has no field for proxy credentials.
HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5, on every proxy. HTTP/HTTPS covers most browsers and scraping tools, and SOCKS5 suits non-HTTP traffic and many desktop applications.
Yes, at no extra cost. In Dashboard → My Proxies, open the row actions and choose “Change protocol” to move between HTTP/HTTPS and SOCKS5 immediately.
In Dashboard → My Proxies, select IP-whitelist authentication and add the public IP address your team connects from. From then on, connections from that address need no username or password. If the office connection changes, update the whitelist to match.
Yes, for approved resellers. Apply under Dashboard → Reseller; after approval your API key appears there, and the REST endpoints let you manage orders and proxies from your own systems. The API docs cover the details.
In gigabytes, the same way for all four types. You pay for the data in the order, request rates are not capped, and the remaining allowance is shown live in the dashboard.

Rotation, sessions & scale

That is your choice, made in the dashboard. Rotating IPs change with each request, which suits high-volume collection. Sticky sessions hold one IP for a period, which suits tasks that need continuity. The options available depend on the proxy type.
When several requests in a row should come from the same IP, for example while working through a paginated set of search results. A sticky (or sessioned) connection keeps one IP for a set duration instead of rotating on every request, and you configure that behaviour from the dashboard.
Often, yes. Targeting depends on the proxy type and the location: many countries offer city-level targeting, chosen in the dashboard when you configure an order. The locations page lists what is available.
We do not set request rate limits, and billing is based only on the data used. The right level of concurrency depends on the proxy type and the target site. For high-throughput workloads, talk to support first and we will suggest a setup.

Markets & coverage

The network reaches 55+ countries, with country targeting and, where it is offered, a choice of city as well. The current list, with prices, is on the locations page.
Choose the country, and a city where one is offered, while configuring the order in the dashboard. Coverage and targeting detail vary by proxy type and region.
The network is built for 99.9% uptime. If your team does hit a connectivity problem, support is available 24/7, and each proxy’s status can be checked from the dashboard at any time.
Datacenter proxies usually respond more quickly than the other types, because they are served from data centres. Residential and mobile speeds depend on the connections behind them. The target site, the location you choose and your own network all affect what your team sees.

Data handling & account security

No traffic logs at all: nothing is recorded about the sites visited or the data transferred through your proxies. The only records we hold are the account and billing details needed to run the service, as set out in our privacy policy.
HTTPS traffic stays encrypted end to end between your client and the destination site, exactly as it would without a proxy. SOCKS5 is available for non-HTTP traffic. For anything sensitive, use HTTPS endpoints wherever they exist.
Card payments are processed by Stripe, and your full card number is never stored on our servers. We also recommend switching on two-factor authentication under Dashboard → Account.
Yes. Time-based one-time password (TOTP) two-factor authentication can be enabled from Dashboard → Account with any standard authenticator app. We recommend it for any account that holds live orders.

Support for your team

Select Register, enter an email address and a password, and the account is ready for a first order. It costs nothing and takes under a minute. A shared work address keeps delivery emails and invoices within reach of everyone who needs them.
Use the forgot password link on the login page, and a secure reset link is emailed to the account address. If it does not arrive, check the spam folder or contact support.
Open a ticket from Dashboard → Support, use the contact page, or email info@cheapest-proxies.com. Support is staffed by people 24/7, and replies typically arrive within 1–4 hours.
Around the clock, every day. The average first response is under 1 hour during business hours and under 4 hours overnight, and every reply comes from a person rather than a bot.
Run the “Check status” action in the dashboard first to test the connection. A proxy that is dead on arrival is replaced or refunded when it is reported within 24 hours of delivery; the refund & replacement policy has the detail.
No. Each order is a one-off purchase that runs for its fixed 30-day validity and then stops automatically. There is no recurring subscription to switch off.

Compliance & platform rules

Proxies are legal and widely used for legitimate work such as research, testing, monitoring and privacy. Your organisation is responsible for making sure its specific use complies with the law that applies to it and with the terms of service of every site it accesses. Please review our acceptable use policy before work starts.
Unlawful activity of any kind, including fraud, hacking, distributing malware and harassment, along with any use that infringes someone else’s rights or breaks a platform’s terms of service. The full rules are in the acceptable use policy, and we act on confirmed abuse reports.
No proxy can promise how a third-party platform will treat an account. Each platform writes and enforces its own terms of service, and following them remains your responsibility. A proxy changes the network route your traffic takes; it does not exempt anyone from a site’s rules.
Yes, with any service, provided your team complies with that platform’s terms of service and the law that applies to you. We cannot predict how a particular platform will respond, and its terms always take priority.
Seriously. Reports can be made through our abuse page, and confirmed breaches of the acceptable use policy can lead to the account involved being suspended or closed.

Faulty orders & refunds

If proxies are dead on arrival or do not work as advertised, you can ask for a replacement or a refund within 24 hours of delivery. Requests after that window are reviewed case by case through support. The complete terms are on the refund & replacement policy page.
Open a ticket from Dashboard → Support or use the contact page, quoting the order reference and describing the problem. Dead-on-arrival proxies reported within 24 hours are replaced or refunded promptly.
Card refunds go back through Stripe to the original payment method and usually appear within a few business days, depending on the bank. Orders paid in crypto are refunded in crypto to a wallet address you provide, based on the order’s original value.
The 24-hour dead-on-arrival cover applies to proxies that do not work as advertised. Substantial data use on working proxies usually shows the service did its job, but your team can still raise a request with support and it will be reviewed fairly.
