What teams use Lead Generation proxies for

Search, research and data teams use them to load public pages from the right location at the volume a report needs, from rankings and ads to prices, competitor pages and QA runs, within each site's terms.

▸ Public directory prospecting
▸ Company data enrichment
▸ Territory lists for sales reps
▸ Addressable market estimates

Lead research for sales teams

A territory list is only useful if it reflects the territory. Sales and marketing teams build prospect lists from company registers, public directories and company websites, by sector and region, and many directories show region-specific results. Residential exits in each target market return the listings a local researcher would see, rather than a list skewed toward wherever the office happens to sit.

Build lists by territory

Define the regions and sectors your reps sell into, assign residential exits per territory, and collect the public company data each returns. The result is a prospect list that reflects each market, ready to load into the CRM.

Keep enrichment accurate

Pulling firmographic detail from the region it belongs to avoids the gaps a single-location view leaves behind. More complete inputs mean your reps spend their time on qualified prospects rather than fixing a patchy list.

Tools do the collecting

Your collection and enrichment tools do the work; the proxy only decides where their requests appear to come from. Residential, per GB, fits region-specific directories, while datacenter covers sources that answer the same everywhere at a lower rate.

Collect responsibly

Gather business-level information that sources publish openly, stay within their terms, and respect data-protection law. LinkedIn, for instance, prohibits scraping in its user agreement, so its profiles are off the table for automated collection whatever proxy you use.

The plan we suggest for Lead Generation

We suggest Residential here. Traffic leaves through household broadband connections in the country you pick, so pages load as they would for an ordinary customer there. Public B2B directories and company sites often show different results by region and limit repeat visits. With residential IPs placed in each sales territory, the team sees the public listings a researcher based there would, so territory lists come out complete and accurate, collected within each source's terms.

✓

Public directory research

Start lists from what businesses publish about themselves: company names, industries and locations shown in public directories. Read each directory's terms of service before collecting, as some limit automated use.

✓

Geo-accurate results

A rep covering one region needs that region's companies, not the ones near head office. Setting the IP to the territory brings up the local listings the directory shows people there.

✓

Rotating at scale

Sizeable lists come together over days rather than in one burst. The residential pool shares the requests out, and a sensible pace keeps each directory's load light.

✓

Tooling compatible

Sales operations keep the tools they have. Whether the work runs in a Python scraper, an enrichment pipeline or a CRM import, the proxy is added as an HTTP, HTTPS or SOCKS5 setting.

Matching each job to a plan

Most teams run more than one kind of job. Data is bought per plan, so volume checks can sit on a lower-cost plan while the jobs that need a household or carrier connection get one.

Several markets, one order

MIX packages are ready-made residential pools covering several countries at once, so a multi-market report can run from a single order.

Getting the team set up

Four steps take a team from order to first check, using the browsers and tools it already works with.

1

Size the order

Start on Residential, the plan suggested above, and choose how many gigabytes the work needs. The proxy calculator shows the total first.

2

Pay by card or crypto

Stripe handles card payments and Cryptomus handles crypto. Each order is a one-off, valid for 30 days, with no subscription to cancel.

3

Set the market

Choose countries in the dashboard after payment, so one order can serve one client market this week and another the next. If a job needs a single city, ask support whether the network covers it.

4

Give the team access

The dashboard shows the login details once the payment has gone through. Pass them to the colleagues who need them, or whitelist the office IP so nobody has to type a password.

Rotation or a sticky session?

  • ▸Per-request rotation moves every request to a different IP. Use it for wide, read-only sweeps of public pages, such as price lists or search results.
  • ▸Sticky sessions hold one IP for a window you choose, typically 1-30 minutes, for signed-in or multi-step tasks such as stepping through a client's checkout.

Both are switched in the dashboard, and the options on offer depend on the plan. Keep request rates modest either way.

Signing in

  • ▸Username and password in the host:port:user:pass format that browsers, browser-profile tools and monitoring software accept.
  • ▸IP whitelist: add your office or server address in the dashboard, and anything connecting from it gets in without credentials, which suits shared office lines and scheduled jobs.

Both work over HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5, and the protocol can be changed later in the dashboard at no extra charge.

Match the IP to the market you report on

Search rankings, prices, ads and even which products appear can change with the visitor's country. Set the IP to the market your client or campaign targets, and the screenshots and figures your team files will line up with what customers there are shown.

  • ✓55+ countries to choose from.
  • ✓City-level targeting where the network supports it.
  • ✓One country per check keeps month-on-month results comparable.

United States United Kingdom Germany France Canada Australia Netherlands India Brazil Singapore

When a report doesn't match what the client sees on the ground, the IP's country is one of the first things to check.

Keeping Lead Generation work within the rules

We sell these proxies for legitimate business work: market and price research, ad verification, SEO, brand protection, QA and compliant automation, including running your own accounts inside each platform's rules. Whatever your team does through them has to stay within the terms of service of every site involved and the law that applies to you and your clients.

  • ✓Collect only publicly available information, and pace requests so the site isn't put under strain.
  • ✓No proxy can promise that an account escapes action by the platform. That depends mostly on how the account is used and whether it follows the terms.
  • ✓Personal details in collected pages, such as names, contact details or reviews, bring data-protection duties with them. Agree with your legal team what you keep and for how long.

The full rules are in our acceptable use policy.

Lead Generation proxies: questions from team leads

Collecting company information that sources publish openly is routine, within their terms and data-protection law. Names and work emails of individual contacts are personal data under the GDPR, so they need a lawful basis and a privacy notice. Company-level data carries far fewer obligations, which makes it the safer starting point.
Card payments run through Stripe and cryptocurrency payments through Cryptomus, with usage charged per GB. Test each order as soon as it arrives: if proxies fail on delivery, open a support ticket from the dashboard, because the refund policy covers faults like that, while data already used is not refundable.
Company-level facts that sources publish openly are common ground for prospecting, but each source's terms of service and the data-protection law covering your business still apply to how you collect and store them.
Rotating residential for directories that run bot protection, and datacenter for light public sources that don't, which keeps the per-GB cost down.
Often. Directories tend to rank and filter public listings by the visitor's region, so an IP inside the territory produces a more complete list for the reps who cover it.
Yes. The proxies only carry the collection and enrichment traffic; whatever your scripts produce is imported into the CRM or data warehouse the same way as any other list.

Refunds

Proxies that fail on arrival can be reported to support for up to 24 hours after delivery. Support swaps them, and where a working swap isn't possible, refunds the affected amount. Details are in the refund policy.

Support

People answer tickets 24/7. Open one from the Support page in your dashboard and include the order reference.

Logs

Our records cover billing and how much bandwidth each order used. The URLs, page content and destinations your team reaches are never logged.
