What teams use WhatsApp proxies for

On messaging apps a business typically runs channels, communities or a support inbox. Proxies help with the parts that change by country, such as the offers, landing pages and shops that posts link to, while every account stays within the app's terms.

▸ Business number setup within WhatsApp's policies
▸ Opt-in customer messaging
▸ Support desks with a number per market
▸ Permission-based WhatsApp campaigns

WhatsApp as a customer channel: inbox choices, opt-in and market checks

For most companies WhatsApp is where customers ask questions and confirm orders. Small teams run it in the WhatsApp Business app; larger ones connect the Business Platform to a shared inbox through a provider. Neither setup involves a proxy. The proxy budget belongs to a narrower job: confirming that each market's website, ads and chat buttons send customers to the right number.

App or Platform

The free Business app suits a small team sharing one number across a few linked devices, with labels, quick replies and a catalogue. Once several agents need routing, reporting and a shared inbox, move to the Business Platform through a provider; it has charged per message since July 2025.

Opt-in before the first message

WhatsApp's business messaging policy lets you contact people only after they have shared their number and agreed to hear from you. On the Platform, messages you start outside a customer's open service window need approved templates, and blocks or reports pull your quality rating down.

Each market's route into chat

Customers reach you through wa.me links, website chat buttons and click-to-WhatsApp ads. Load each market's site and ad landing pages on a residential IP located there, and confirm the button shows the right number and opening hours. A German page pointing at the French support line costs real conversations.

Bulk senders are a liability

Tools that blast messages from many unofficial numbers, sometimes sold alongside proxies, break WhatsApp's terms on bulk and automated messaging. Those numbers risk bans, and customers who report the spam remember the brand behind it. Keep proxies out of message sending altogether.

The plan we suggest for WhatsApp

We suggest Mobile 4G/5G here. The IPs come from mobile carrier networks, so apps and sites behave as they do for phone users on cellular data. WhatsApp's anti-spam checks whether carrier, phone number and device line up. A mobile IP from the number's own country fits that pattern; a mismatch can get the number restricted, in some cases for 30 days.

✓

Country-matched IPs

US, UK, DE, BR, IN, ID, MX and more, so each support number connects from the country its dialling code belongs to.

✓

Sticky for whole session

One IP holds through registration, verification and the first customer conversations, so a new business number doesn't change location while it's being set up.

✓

Business API compatible

WhatsApp Business API clients connect over standard proxies. Unofficial wrappers accept them too, but they break WhatsApp's terms and put numbers at risk, so we point teams to the official Business Platform.

✓

Antidetect ready

The proxies also plug into browser and device emulation setups. Running numbers from emulation farms to send bulk messages breaks WhatsApp's terms and can get them banned; keep each number on a registered device or the official platform.

Matching each job to a plan

Most teams run more than one kind of job. Data is bought per plan, so volume checks can sit on a lower-cost plan while the jobs that need a household or carrier connection get one.

Several markets, one order

MIX packages are ready-made residential pools covering several countries at once, so a multi-market report can run from a single order.

Getting the team set up

Four steps take a team from order to first check, using the browsers and tools it already works with.

1

Size the order

Start on Mobile 4G/5G, the plan suggested above, and choose how many gigabytes the work needs. The proxy calculator shows the total first.

2

Pay by card or crypto

Stripe handles card payments and Cryptomus handles crypto. Each order is a one-off, valid for 30 days, with no subscription to cancel.

3

Set the market

Pick the country on the order form, together with the protocol and sign-in method, so agree which market the work covers before checkout.

4

Give the team access

The dashboard shows the login details once the payment has gone through. Pass them to the colleagues who need them, or whitelist the office IP so nobody has to type a password.

Rotation or a sticky session?

  • ▸Per-request rotation moves every request to a different IP. Use it for wide, read-only sweeps of public pages, such as price lists or search results.
  • ▸Sticky sessions hold one IP for a window you choose, typically 1-30 minutes, for signed-in or multi-step tasks such as stepping through a client's checkout.

Both are switched in the dashboard, and the options on offer depend on the plan. Keep request rates modest either way.

Signing in

  • ▸Username and password in the host:port:user:pass format that browsers, browser-profile tools and monitoring software accept.
  • ▸IP whitelist: add your office or server address in the dashboard, and anything connecting from it gets in without credentials, which suits shared office lines and scheduled jobs.

Both work over HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5, and the protocol can be changed later in the dashboard at no extra charge.

Match the IP to the market you report on

Search rankings, prices, ads and even which products appear can change with the visitor's country. Set the IP to the market your client or campaign targets, and the screenshots and figures your team files will line up with what customers there are shown.

  • ✓55+ countries to choose from.
  • ✓City-level targeting where the network supports it.
  • ✓One country per check keeps month-on-month results comparable.

Major markets on the network

United States United Kingdom Germany France Canada Australia Netherlands India Brazil Singapore

When a report doesn't match what the client sees on the ground, the IP's country is one of the first things to check.

How the four plans compare

Every plan bills per GB. The highlighted row is the plan we suggest for this work.

Plan Trust level Speed Cost From, per GB Where it fits
Datacenter Standard ★★★★★ $ $3.50 Bulk page checks, rank tracking and QA on your own sites
Residential High ★★★ $$ $3.99 Local prices, search results, ads and marketplaces
Residential Premium Very high ★★★★ $$$ $6.50 Demanding sites, brand protection and client work
Mobile 4G/5G Suggested Very high ★★★ $$$$ $4.50 Apps built for phones and ads served on mobile networks

The rate charged is the one shown for the live plan at checkout.

Keeping WhatsApp work within the rules

We sell these proxies for legitimate business work: market and price research, ad verification, SEO, brand protection, QA and compliant automation, including running your own accounts inside each platform's rules. Whatever your team does through them has to stay within the terms of service of every site involved and the law that applies to you and your clients.

  • ✓Collect only publicly available information, and pace requests so the site isn't put under strain.
  • ✓No proxy can promise that an account escapes action by the platform. That depends mostly on how the account is used and whether it follows the terms.
  • ✓Personal details in collected pages, such as names, contact details or reviews, bring data-protection duties with them. Agree with your legal team what you keep and for how long.

The full rules are in our acceptable use policy.

WhatsApp proxies: questions from team leads

A small residential balance with country targeting covers it: landing pages and chat buttons are light, and billing is per GB, so the cost tracks how many pages you check. Add city targeting only where a market's site changes by city, for example store-specific numbers. Card payments go through Stripe and crypto through Cryptomus.
No. Agents use a linked device on the Business app, or your provider's inbox, from wherever they work, on ordinary connections, in countries where WhatsApp is available. A proxy would not change delivery or your quality rating, and logins hopping between countries only add confusion.
Yes, and no proxy can prevent it. A mobile IP from the number's country is the right setup, but most bans follow message volume and spam patterns, so message only contacts who have opted in, within WhatsApp's policies.
It's critical. A US number connecting from a UK IP gets flagged straight away.
Sticky, every time. Rotating IPs don't suit WhatsApp.
Keep it to 3-5 at most.

Refunds

Proxies that fail on arrival can be reported to support for up to 24 hours after delivery. Support swaps them, and where a working swap isn't possible, refunds the affected amount. Details are in the refund policy.

Support

People answer tickets 24/7. Open one from the Support page in your dashboard and include the order reference.

Logs

Our records cover billing and how much bandwidth each order used. The URLs, page content and destinations your team reaches are never logged.
