Fingerprint check for client browser profiles

Websites can merge dozens of minor browser details into a near-unique fingerprint. Swapping the IP through a proxy or VPN leaves those details untouched, so visits from different addresses can still be linked to one browser. The panels below list what a standard fingerprinting script can collect from your browser on this visit.

Fingerprint hash

Computing...

A shortened hash of all the signals below. If two of your team’s browser profiles show the same hash, a website can treat them as one browser, even when each uses a different IP.

Fingerprint signals

What goes into a fingerprint

A fingerprint draws on three kinds of detail. Display and locale: screen size, time zone and language. Software: the fonts installed and the plugins the browser reports. Hardware: the graphics card, processor cores and memory, plus tiny differences in how the machine draws images and processes sound. None of these identifies anyone alone. Combined into a hash, they usually narrow a visitor down to one browser in roughly 100,000, and often to an even smaller group.

Changing the IP doesn’t reset it. Moving to another proxy, connecting a VPN or opening a private window normally leaves the fingerprint as it was, which is why ad networks and fraud-prevention tools rely on it to connect visits arriving from different addresses.

Why it matters when your team manages several accounts

Picture an agency handling legitimate accounts for several clients. Each account has its own residential IP, yet all of them are opened in the same standard Chrome on one laptop. With matching fingerprints, a platform can treat the accounts as one device behind many addresses, and the separation you set up for client-by-client work and location-specific checks stops doing its job.

Research and testing suffer in the same way: when one fingerprint follows every session, results from one task can colour the next. Whatever the work, each platform’s rules and local law still apply.

Keeping client profiles apart

Multi-profile browsers

Agencies usually solve this with a multi-profile browser, a category often sold as antidetect browsers. Every profile gets its own set of fonts, hardware details and rendering results for canvas, WebGL and audio, and keeps them stable across sessions, so each client profile stays separate and consistent.

  • Multilogin - often chosen by agencies that run many client accounts.
  • Dolphin Anty - common among social media and affiliate marketing teams that run more than one legitimate account.
  • GoLogin - a less expensive choice covering the essentials.
  • Incogniton, Kameleo, Vision, AdsPower - alternatives to compare on price and team features.

Assign a separate IP from our proxies to every profile, and each client account keeps a stable pairing of browser and address. Follow each platform’s terms of service on how many accounts you may run.

Without a profile manager

Standard browsers can still be set to give away less:

  • Firefox: turn on privacy.resistFingerprinting = true through about:config.
  • Tor Browser: built to make all its users look alike, at the cost of speed.
  • Brave: set Shields to Aggressive and it randomises canvas and font readings.
  • JavaScript: blocking it on sites that don’t need it cuts out roughly 90% of fingerprinting techniques, but most business tools and dashboards need it switched on.

Realistic goals for your team

You can’t remove fingerprinting completely, but you can cut down what links one task to the next. Three things together keep market research, ad verification, QA testing and privacy-focused browsing apart: one profile per task, a clean proxy for each profile, and a User-Agent matched to the profile’s device. Before a profile goes into use, load this page in it and compare the hash with your other profiles: no two should match. Keep each site’s terms of service and local law in mind throughout.
