Web Scraping proxies for business teams

Datacenter proxies for business teams collecting public web data on a schedule, billed per GB, with residential kept for sources that need a local view.

What teams use Web Scraping proxies for

Search, research and data teams use them to load public pages from the right location at the volume a report needs, from rankings and ads to prices, competitor pages and QA runs, within each site's terms.

▸ Scheduled public-page collection
▸ Public API data pulls
▸ Competitor catalogue snapshots
▸ News and RSS monitoring

Web scraping for business teams: scope, compliance and cost control

For a business, scraping is a data supply decision before it's a technical one. Teams typically want competitor catalogues, public prices, stock levels or job listings on a schedule. Settle three things first: which fields you actually need, whether the source offers an API or data feed, and whether the pages are public and allowed to be crawled. Then choose the proxy mix that matches how the sources behave.

Build, buy or license

An in-house scraper gives control but needs an engineer to maintain it every time a site changes its layout. Managed scraping tools and licensed datasets cost more per record yet carry that upkeep for you. Price the maintenance hours, not just the proxy traffic, before deciding.

Personal data and site terms

Public is not the same as free to use. If pages contain names, reviews or contact details, data protection law such as the GDPR can apply to what you collect, and site terms may restrict reuse. Agree with legal which fields are in scope and how long you keep them.

Match the proxy to the source

Sources that look the same from every country belong on datacenter, the lower per-GB rate. Location-dependent ones, such as regional price pages, need country-targeted residential traffic, and a team can buy both and run them side by side.

Running it as a team

Assign an owner per source, log each run's time, country and error count, and review failures weekly. Whitelist your scraping servers' IPs so credentials never sit in shared scripts or spreadsheets.

The plan we suggest for Web Scraping

We suggest Datacenter here. It costs less per GB than our other plans and loads public pages quickly wherever a site accepts datacenter traffic. Most business collection targets ordinary public pages. Where a site runs no serious bot-mitigation, datacenter proxies deliver more data for the money than residential; residential earns its higher rate only on sources that push back, which are also the ones whose terms deserve a second read.

✓

Lowest cost per request

Datacenter carries the lowest per-GB rate of our four proxy types, so routine collection belongs there and the residential budget goes to the sources that need it.

✓

1Gbps speed

High concurrency and low latency let parallel scrapers finish scheduled runs within their window instead of spilling into the working day.

✓

HTTP / HTTPS / SOCKS5

Whether your developers or vendor use Scrapy, Requests, Puppeteer or Playwright, the proxies connect as a standard setting, so changing supplier doesn't mean rebuilding jobs.

✓

Per-request rotation

Rotation is set per plan in the dashboard, so a job can spread its requests across many addresses and keep the load on each source modest.

Matching each job to a plan

Most teams run more than one kind of job. Data is bought per plan, so volume checks can sit on a lower-cost plan while the jobs that need a household or carrier connection get one.

Several markets, one order

MIX packages are ready-made residential pools covering several countries at once, so a multi-market report can run from a single order.

Getting the team set up

Four steps take a team from order to first check, using the browsers and tools it already works with.

1

Size the order

Start on Datacenter, the plan suggested above, and choose how many gigabytes the work needs. The proxy calculator shows the total first.

2

Pay by card or crypto

Stripe handles card payments and Cryptomus handles crypto. Each order is a one-off, valid for 30 days, with no subscription to cancel.

3

Set the market

Pick the country on the order form, together with the protocol and sign-in method, so agree which market the work covers before checkout.

4

Give the team access

The dashboard shows the login details once the payment has gone through. Pass them to the colleagues who need them, or whitelist the office IP so nobody has to type a password.

Rotation or a sticky session?

  • ▸Per-request rotation moves every request to a different IP. Use it for wide, read-only sweeps of public pages, such as price lists or search results.
  • ▸Sticky sessions hold one IP for a window you choose, typically 1-30 minutes, for signed-in or multi-step tasks such as stepping through a client's checkout.

Both are switched in the dashboard, and the options on offer depend on the plan. Keep request rates modest either way.

Signing in

  • ▸Username and password in the host:port:user:pass format that browsers, browser-profile tools and monitoring software accept.
  • ▸IP whitelist: add your office or server address in the dashboard, and anything connecting from it gets in without credentials, which suits shared office lines and scheduled jobs.

Both work over HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5, and the protocol can be changed later in the dashboard at no extra charge.

Match the IP to the market you report on

Search rankings, prices, ads and even which products appear can change with the visitor's country. Set the IP to the market your client or campaign targets, and the screenshots and figures your team files will line up with what customers there are shown.

  • ✓55+ countries to choose from.
  • ✓City-level targeting where the network supports it.
  • ✓One country per check keeps month-on-month results comparable.

Major markets on the network

United States United Kingdom Germany France Canada Australia Netherlands India Brazil Singapore

When a report doesn't match what the client sees on the ground, the IP's country is one of the first things to check.

How the four plans compare

Every plan bills per GB. The highlighted row is the plan we suggest for this work.

Plan Trust level Speed Cost From, per GB Where it fits
Datacenter Suggested Standard ★★★★★ $ $3.50 Bulk page checks, rank tracking and QA on your own sites
Residential High ★★★ $$ $3.99 Local prices, search results, ads and marketplaces
Residential Premium Very high ★★★★ $$$ $6.50 Demanding sites, brand protection and client work
Mobile 4G/5G Very high ★★★ $$$$ $4.50 Apps built for phones and ads served on mobile networks

The rate charged is the one shown for the live plan at checkout.

Keeping Web Scraping work within the rules

We sell these proxies for legitimate business work: market and price research, ad verification, SEO, brand protection, QA and compliant automation, including running your own accounts inside each platform's rules. Whatever your team does through them has to stay within the terms of service of every site involved and the law that applies to you and your clients.

  • ✓Collect only publicly available information, and pace requests so the site isn't put under strain.
  • ✓No proxy can promise that an account escapes action by the platform. That depends mostly on how the account is used and whether it follows the terms.
  • ✓Personal details in collected pages, such as names, contact details or reviews, bring data-protection duties with them. Agree with your legal team what you keep and for how long.

The full rules are in our acceptable use policy.

Web Scraping proxies: questions from team leads

Generally your company, as the party collecting the data, so keep a named owner for each source and a clear way for site operators to reach you. When a complaint arrives, pause that source, review what was collected and under which terms, and honour reasonable opt-out requests promptly.
Cost follows bytes, so the source list sets the bill: browser-rendered pages weigh far more than plain HTML. Ask the team for a sample-based estimate per source, cap each job's monthly volume, and compare usage in the dashboard against the estimate before the next purchase.
Start on datacenter for sites without bot protection. Targets behind Cloudflare, PerimeterX or Akamai often refuse datacenter traffic and may need residential, and that protection is a cue to re-read the site's terms before collecting.
Datacenter, since rendered pages are heavy and datacenter carries the lower per-GB rate. Blocking images and video you don't need keeps those jobs from inflating the bill.
Rotate per request for stateless collection; hold a sticky session when a source needs a login or a multi-page flow.
Yes, alongside HTTP and HTTPS, so tools that only speak SOCKS5 need no special order.

Refunds

Proxies that fail on arrival can be reported to support for up to 24 hours after delivery. Support swaps them, and where a working swap isn't possible, refunds the affected amount. Details are in the refund policy.

Support

People answer tickets 24/7. Open one from the Support page in your dashboard and include the order reference.

Logs

Our records cover billing and how much bandwidth each order used. The URLs, page content and destinations your team reaches are never logged.
