Italian retail and media checks: regional saldi, volantini and influencer rules

Category decides where Italians shop online: Esselunga and Coop for groceries, Unieuro and MediaWorld for electronics, Yoox for fashion, with global marketplaces across all of them. Prices move with regional saldi dates and supermarket volantini, and larger influencers' sponsored posts fall under rules AGCOM adopted in 2024. Checks from an Italian connection show each of these as shoppers there see them.

Saldi set region by region

Italy's seasonal sales, the saldi, start on dates each region sets, usually in early January and early July. Teams covering several regions stagger their price checks to match, rather than assuming one national start date for every competitor.

Flyers and promotions

Italian supermarkets publish their volantino, the promotional flyer, online at regular intervals, and electronics chains run short themed promotions. Flyer prices are often reserved for holders of the chain's loyalty card, so each capture should record whether the price shown needs the card.

Publisher placements

Media buyers check that Italian campaigns appear on the publishers they paid for, such as Corriere della Sera, la Repubblica and La Gazzetta dello Sport, with Italian creatives and agreed landing pages. Note the city and device of each capture, since regional campaigns show up in some places only.

Influencer rules

AGCOM, the communications regulator, adopted guidelines in 2024 that bring larger Italian influencers under advertising rules similar to broadcasters', including clear labelling of sponsored content. Brands working with Italian creators review public posts to confirm disclosures appear as agreed.

Questions buyers ask about Italy proxies

Ad servers decide what to show partly from the connection type, so checks from datacenter ranges may not match what readers of Corriere della Sera or la Repubblica see at home or on their phones. Residential fits desktop placements and mobile 4G/5G suits app and mobile web placements, while datacenter, priced lower per GB, covers public catalogue and price pages.
Yes. Grocery sites often ask for a CAP, the Italian postcode, to confirm delivery and tailor the assortment, then remember it for the visit. Run each postcode in its own sticky session so the area does not change mid-check, and record the CAP with every price you capture.
Pay by card through Stripe or in cryptocurrency through Cryptomus. There is no contract, subscription or setup fee: each order runs for 30 days, after which any unused data lapses.
Email info@cheapest-proxies.com within 24 hours of delivery. Proxies that are dead on arrival are replaced, and where working replacements cannot be supplied, the affected part of the order is refunded.
