Any TCP or UDP app, one proxy setting

SOCKS5 Proxies

SOCKS5 proxies from $3.50/GB for teams that run desktop apps, crawlers and scripts as well as browsers. HTTP and HTTPS come with every plan at no extra cost.

One proxy setting for browsers, desktop apps and scripts

Marketing and data teams rarely work in a browser alone. Rank trackers, desktop crawlers, reporting scripts and in-house tools often need a proxy too, and many of them accept SOCKS5 settings. Because SOCKS5 relays raw TCP traffic, and UDP where a tool uses it, one set of credentials can serve all of them.

Every proxy type we sell, from datacenter up to Residential Premium, carries SOCKS5 next to HTTP and HTTPS. If one tool in your stack needs a different protocol, change it for that proxy in the dashboard. Colleagues sign in with a username and password, or connect from a whitelisted IP.

Key points

  • ✓ SOCKS5 included on all four proxy types, alongside HTTP and HTTPS
  • ✓ Protocol switches in the dashboard at no extra charge
  • ✓ Carries TCP and UDP traffic, not only web pages
  • ✓ Hostnames can be resolved on the proxy side (remote DNS)
  • ✓ Sign-in by username and password or by whitelisted IP
  • ✓ Billed per GB at the rate of the type you order

Desktop and SEO software

Many desktop applications and crawlers have a SOCKS5 field in their proxy settings. The same login covers them, so each tool does not need its own proxy arrangement.

Traffic beyond web pages

SOCKS5 forwards a connection without reading or rewriting it, so software that is not a plain web client can still run through the proxy.

Lookups from the right market

With remote DNS, the proxy resolves hostnames itself, so lookups leave from the same location as the rest of the traffic your team sends.

When SOCKS5 is the better setting for a tool

On ordinary web work such as browsing, rank checks and page monitoring, the two protocols perform about the same, so go with whichever your tool supports best. SOCKS5 earns its place in three cases: the software talks to services other than websites, it needs UDP, or its own setup guide asks for SOCKS5.

Behind the scenes, each tool opens with a short handshake, logs in if a password is set, and names the host and port it wants. The proxy then connects to that destination and passes data back and forth without changing it. Because it never needs to understand the content, the same proxy can serve web and non-web software alike.

Choosing the proxy type behind your SOCKS5 tools

The protocol does not change the price; the proxy type does. Datacenter at $3.50/GB suits sites that accept datacenter traffic. Residential at $3.99/GB fits checks that must match what local customers see, mobile at $4.50/GB covers mobile-first platforms, and Residential Premium at $6.50/GB is for demanding sites and static residential (ISP) IPs. All four accept SOCKS5 and HTTP/HTTPS alike.

Match each job to a proxy type

The four types differ in where the IPs come from and what they cost per GB. Pick by the sites a job touches, and mix types across jobs from one account.

Each order is independent, so a datacenter order for rank checks and a residential order for local pricing can run side by side under one login.

Setting it up for your team

Three steps from order to first run. Most of the work happens in the dashboard, so one account owner can prepare access for the whole team.

1

Order the type the job needs

Datacenter, residential, mobile and Residential Premium all include SOCKS5, so choose by the sites your team works with. The proxies appear in the dashboard once payment clears.

2

Switch the protocol to SOCKS5

Use Change protocol on the proxies the team will use. Moving between HTTP/HTTPS and SOCKS5 costs nothing extra.

3

Add it to each tool

Enter the host, port and login in each tool’s SOCKS5 settings, or whitelist the office IP so tools connect without a password.

Two ways to give people access

Username & password

The flexible option for people who work from different places. Paste the login into any browser, tool or cloud service and connect without a fixed IP.

  • ✓ Works from any office, home or cloud region
  • ✓ Change credentials in the dashboard at any time

IP whitelisting

Approve your office or server IPs, and connections from them need no login at all. Handy for always-on servers, and for any tool with no field for proxy credentials.

  • ✓ No passwords saved in tools or passed around
  • ✓ Add or remove approved IPs whenever you need to

Both sign-in methods work over HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5 on every plan.

What each type costs per GB

Each type has a published pay-as-you-go rate per GB, charged on the data an order includes. With no contract or subscription, each job can be costed and paid for on its own.

Proxy type Price per GB Worth the rate when
Datacenter $3.50/GB The site accepts datacenter traffic and volume matters more than where the IP comes from.
Residential $3.99/GB Results have to match what local customers see.
Mobile (4G/5G) $4.50/GB The audience you are checking mostly uses mobile networks.
Residential Premium $6.50/GB A job needs static residential (ISP) IPs, or a demanding site needs extra trust.

Pay by card through Stripe or in crypto through Cryptomus; the invoice for each transaction is kept in the dashboard for your finance team.

Delivery after payment

We do not cap requests on our side and keep no traffic logs. Billing follows the data your jobs use, from a single test call to large scheduled runs.

Choose the market for each order

Set the country for each order, and the city where the type supports it, so pages, prices and ads load as they do for local customers. Rank tracking, price checks and ad verification all depend on that accuracy in every market.

Each page covers one protocol or IP behaviour from a buyer's point of view: the jobs it suits, how to set it up and what it costs.

Responsible use

Use the network for lawful business work such as price and stock monitoring, search and ad checks, brand monitoring, QA of your own sites and compliant automation. Collect only publicly available data, follow each site's terms of service and stay within the law that applies to your business.

We do not log traffic content, URLs or destinations. The records we hold are billing details and total bandwidth, which we need to run the account. By using the network, your team agrees to the acceptable use policy.

Questions before you order

No. SOCKS5, HTTP and HTTPS come with every plan, and you pay the per-GB rate of the proxy type you order. Switching protocol in the dashboard costs nothing extra.
Any tool with SOCKS5 proxy settings: browsers, command-line clients, scripts with SOCKS support and many desktop applications. Software that only accepts an HTTP proxy can use HTTP or HTTPS instead, since every plan includes both.
Not noticeably. On web pages SOCKS5 and HTTP/HTTPS perform about the same. Choose SOCKS5 when a tool needs UDP or carries traffic that is not web pages.
Yes. Whitelist the office or server IP in the dashboard, and connections from that address need no username or password. You can switch back to username and password whenever you like.
