What teams use Amazon proxies for

Marketplace and e-commerce teams use them to see listings, prices, delivery promises and search placement the way shoppers in each market do, and to test their own storefronts before a launch.

▸ Price intelligence across marketplaces
▸ Review and rating monitoring
▸ Approved multi-account seller admin
▸ Buy Box status checks

Amazon for brand and marketplace teams: the shopper's view, within the rules

Most team work on Amazon happens inside Seller Central, Vendor Central and Brand Registry, under named logins. A proxy adds value when you need the shopper's view: how a listing, its price and its delivery promise look in another marketplace or region, and where your products land in search. Large-scale price collection is a different matter, because Amazon's Conditions of Use exclude collecting listings, descriptions and prices.

Search results as a local shopper

Search your priority terms by hand, signed out, through a residential IP in each marketplace, and note where your products and sponsored placements appear. Results shift with location and over the day, so compare like with like: same postcode, same time window, one sticky session per check.

Another marketplace, as shoppers see it

Each Amazon store localises titles, A+ content, currency and delivery promises. With a residential IP in that country and nobody signed in, open your listings to check translations, images and the delivery estimate shown. City targeting helps where delivery speed varies by region, as it does across the US.

Competitor research that holds up

Brand Analytics gives brand owners search terms with click and conversion share, and SP-API pricing data covers offers on ASINs you sell. Spot-check rival listings by hand through a proxy, and buy bulk data from licensed providers instead of running a crawler against the Conditions of Use.

Accounts: one per region unless there's a reason

Amazon allows one selling account per region unless you have a legitimate business need for more, such as a separately run brand, and a unified account already reaches several marketplaces in Europe or North America. Proxies play no part in opening or separating accounts.

The plan we suggest for Amazon

We suggest Residential here. Traffic leaves through household broadband connections in the country you pick, so pages load as they would for an ordinary customer there. Amazon's anti-bot controls are among the strictest on the web, and datacenter traffic stalls quickly there. Rotating residential is what teams use when research grows past 10,000 pages/day, but Amazon's Conditions of Use restrict automated collection of listings and prices, so agree the scope with your legal team or use Amazon's own data programmes.

✓

Fewer CAPTCHAs

Residential IPs meet far fewer CAPTCHA challenges on Amazon than datacenter IPs, which can hit one within seconds, so price checks come back complete. Keep collection to public data and within Amazon's terms.

✓

Price research at scale

Rotating IPs let pricing teams review public product pages across Amazon's US, UK, DE, JP, IN and AU marketplaces, each from inside the market. Check what Amazon's terms permit before reviewing large volumes.

✓

Multi-seller ops

Where a business runs more than one seller account with Amazon's approval, give each its own sticky residential IP. Amazon's account-linking checks look at IPs among other signals, and a proxy doesn't change its rules on multiple accounts.

✓

Review monitoring

Read public review pages for brand protection and sentiment analysis, with country targeting for each marketplace. Reviewer names are personal data, so keep only what the analysis needs and follow data-protection law.

Matching each job to a plan

Most teams run more than one kind of job. Data is bought per plan, so volume checks can sit on a lower-cost plan while the jobs that need a household or carrier connection get one.

Several markets, one order

MIX packages are ready-made residential pools covering several countries at once, so a multi-market report can run from a single order.

Getting the team set up

Four steps take a team from order to first check, using the browsers and tools it already works with.

1

Size the order

Start on Residential, the plan suggested above, and choose how many gigabytes the work needs. The proxy calculator shows the total first.

2

Pay by card or crypto

Stripe handles card payments and Cryptomus handles crypto. Each order is a one-off, valid for 30 days, with no subscription to cancel.

3

Set the market

Choose countries in the dashboard after payment, so one order can serve one client market this week and another the next. If a job needs a single city, ask support whether the network covers it.

4

Give the team access

The dashboard shows the login details once the payment has gone through. Pass them to the colleagues who need them, or whitelist the office IP so nobody has to type a password.

Rotation or a sticky session?

  • ▸Per-request rotation moves every request to a different IP. Use it for wide, read-only sweeps of public pages, such as price lists or search results.
  • ▸Sticky sessions hold one IP for a window you choose, typically 1-30 minutes, for signed-in or multi-step tasks such as stepping through a client's checkout.

Both are switched in the dashboard, and the options on offer depend on the plan. Keep request rates modest either way.

Signing in

  • ▸Username and password in the host:port:user:pass format that browsers, browser-profile tools and monitoring software accept.
  • ▸IP whitelist: add your office or server address in the dashboard, and anything connecting from it gets in without credentials, which suits shared office lines and scheduled jobs.

Both work over HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5, and the protocol can be changed later in the dashboard at no extra charge.

Match the IP to the market you report on

Search rankings, prices, ads and even which products appear can change with the visitor's country. Set the IP to the market your client or campaign targets, and the screenshots and figures your team files will line up with what customers there are shown.

  • ✓55+ countries to choose from.
  • ✓City-level targeting where the network supports it.
  • ✓One country per check keeps month-on-month results comparable.

Major markets on the network

United States United Kingdom Germany France Canada Australia Netherlands India Brazil Singapore

When a report doesn't match what the client sees on the ground, the IP's country is one of the first things to check.

How the four plans compare

Every plan bills per GB. The highlighted row is the plan we suggest for this work.

Plan Trust level Speed Cost From, per GB Where it fits
Datacenter Standard ★★★★★ $ $3.50 Bulk page checks, rank tracking and QA on your own sites
Residential Suggested High ★★★ $$ $3.99 Local prices, search results, ads and marketplaces
Residential Premium Very high ★★★★ $$$ $6.50 Demanding sites, brand protection and client work
Mobile 4G/5G Very high ★★★ $$$$ $4.50 Apps built for phones and ads served on mobile networks

The rate charged is the one shown for the live plan at checkout.

Keeping Amazon work within the rules

We sell these proxies for legitimate business work: market and price research, ad verification, SEO, brand protection, QA and compliant automation, including running your own accounts inside each platform's rules. Whatever your team does through them has to stay within the terms of service of every site involved and the law that applies to you and your clients.

  • ✓Collect only publicly available information, and pace requests so the site isn't put under strain.
  • ✓No proxy can promise that an account escapes action by the platform. That depends mostly on how the account is used and whether it follows the terms.
  • ✓Personal details in collected pages, such as names, contact details or reviews, bring data-protection duties with them. Agree with your legal team what you keep and for how long.

The full rules are in our acceptable use policy.

Amazon proxies: questions from team leads

Product pages are heavy with images and video, so a single check can use several megabytes. Work from a fixed list of ASINs per marketplace, avoid scrolling through endless recommendations, and stop video autoplay where you can. With per-GB billing, spend then follows the checklist rather than how long someone browsed.
No. Ask each client to invite your staff under User Permissions in Seller Central, with access limited to the areas you manage, so every action is tied to a named person. Logging in to client accounts through separate proxies doesn't make anything more compliant and invites extra security prompts.
Only slightly. Suspensions come from policy and behaviour, and no proxy can head them off. A clean residential IP takes away one risk among many; working within Amazon's seller policies is what counts.
Rotating residential through an ordinary browser, limited to public data and to what Amazon's terms allow.
Yes, a sticky residential IP each. Amazon notices seller accounts that share an IP, and a separate IP doesn't make an unapproved account acceptable.
They cost less per GB, but Amazon serves them CAPTCHAs so often that research stalls before it scales. We don't recommend them here.

Refunds

Proxies that fail on arrival can be reported to support for up to 24 hours after delivery. Support swaps them, and where a working swap isn't possible, refunds the affected amount. Details are in the refund policy.

Support

People answer tickets 24/7. Open one from the Support page in your dashboard and include the order reference.

Logs

Our records cover billing and how much bandwidth each order used. The URLs, page content and destinations your team reaches are never logged.
