What teams use LinkedIn proxies for

On social platforms, the proxy side of a team's work is mostly about seeing what an audience in another country sees: public profiles, ads, regional features and the pages behind shared links. Account access itself belongs with the platform's own tools and stays within its rules.

▸ Sales outreach at sensible volumes
▸ Recruiter seat workflows
▸ Company and lead research
▸ Agency seat and Page administration

LinkedIn for B2B, recruiting and agency teams: what proxies are, and aren't, for

Sales, recruiting and marketing teams lean on LinkedIn every day, mostly through tools LinkedIn provides and controls: Pages, Campaign Manager, Sales Navigator and Recruiter. Those need no proxy, and LinkedIn's User Agreement bans the outreach automation some vendors pair with proxies. The legitimate gap is small but real: seeing public job posts, company pages and ad landing pages as a candidate or buyer in another market would.

Page roles for the whole team

A LinkedIn Page can have several admins with different roles, from super admin to content admin and analyst, each using their own profile. Campaign Manager has separate account roles for ads and billing. Set these up properly and nobody needs to share a login, through a proxy or otherwise.

Outreach stays inside LinkedIn's tools

Prospecting belongs in Sales Navigator and hiring outreach in Recruiter, both of which work within LinkedIn's own limits. Third-party bots that send invitations from many accounts behind proxies breach the User Agreement, and restrictions fall on your team's profiles, which are personal accounts the company doesn't own.

Market checks a proxy handles

Public job posts, company pages and the pages your Sponsored Content links to can be reviewed from a residential connection in the market you hire or sell in, checking language, currency, pay ranges where shown, and redirects. For competitors' ads, LinkedIn's Ad Library is the official starting point.

Choosing the plan

A small residential allowance is usually enough for these checks, since LinkedIn pages are light next to video platforms. Add city targeting when you hire or advertise in specific metro areas. Mobile 4G/5G rarely earns its higher per-GB price for LinkedIn work.

The plan we suggest for LinkedIn

We suggest Residential here. Traffic leaves through household broadband connections in the country you pick, so pages load as they would for an ordinary customer there. Few networks block datacenter IPs as strictly as LinkedIn. For sales and recruiting teams whose day runs through Sales Navigator or Recruiter, residential is the proxy type that holds up reliably.

✓

Reduce "Account restricted" prompts

A common trigger for that prompt is a login from a datacenter IP on an account that usually connects from home. If a rep's work goes through a proxy, a sticky residential session keeps that pattern consistent.

✓

Sales Nav at scale

Outreach tools such as Expandi, Dux-Soup, Waalaxy and La Growth Machine take one residential IP per account. Read LinkedIn's User Agreement before using any of them, since it prohibits bots and automated messaging, and keep activity at sensible levels.

✓

Recruiter operations

Agencies with several Recruiter Lite seats can put each seat on its own residential IP, so each recruiter works from a consistent connection of their own, as they would from home.

✓

Profile research

For ICP research, rotating residential IPs support controlled-rate checks of public company pages and job posts without tying up paid seats. Member profiles are personal data and LinkedIn prohibits scraping them, so keep people-level research inside Sales Navigator.

Matching each job to a plan

Most teams run more than one kind of job. Data is bought per plan, so volume checks can sit on a lower-cost plan while the jobs that need a household or carrier connection get one.

Several markets, one order

MIX packages are ready-made residential pools covering several countries at once, so a multi-market report can run from a single order.

Getting the team set up

Four steps take a team from order to first check, using the browsers and tools it already works with.

1

Size the order

Start on Residential, the plan suggested above, and choose how many gigabytes the work needs. The proxy calculator shows the total first.

2

Pay by card or crypto

Stripe handles card payments and Cryptomus handles crypto. Each order is a one-off, valid for 30 days, with no subscription to cancel.

3

Set the market

Choose countries in the dashboard after payment, so one order can serve one client market this week and another the next. If a job needs a single city, ask support whether the network covers it.

4

Give the team access

The dashboard shows the login details once the payment has gone through. Pass them to the colleagues who need them, or whitelist the office IP so nobody has to type a password.

Rotation or a sticky session?

  • ▸Per-request rotation moves every request to a different IP. Use it for wide, read-only sweeps of public pages, such as price lists or search results.
  • ▸Sticky sessions hold one IP for a window you choose, typically 1-30 minutes, for signed-in or multi-step tasks such as stepping through a client's checkout.

Both are switched in the dashboard, and the options on offer depend on the plan. Keep request rates modest either way.

Signing in

  • ▸Username and password in the host:port:user:pass format that browsers, browser-profile tools and monitoring software accept.
  • ▸IP whitelist: add your office or server address in the dashboard, and anything connecting from it gets in without credentials, which suits shared office lines and scheduled jobs.

Both work over HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5, and the protocol can be changed later in the dashboard at no extra charge.

Match the IP to the market you report on

Search rankings, prices, ads and even which products appear can change with the visitor's country. Set the IP to the market your client or campaign targets, and the screenshots and figures your team files will line up with what customers there are shown.

  • ✓55+ countries to choose from.
  • ✓City-level targeting where the network supports it.
  • ✓One country per check keeps month-on-month results comparable.

Major markets on the network

United States United Kingdom Germany France Canada Australia Netherlands India Brazil Singapore

When a report doesn't match what the client sees on the ground, the IP's country is one of the first things to check.

How the four plans compare

Every plan bills per GB. The highlighted row is the plan we suggest for this work.

Plan Trust level Speed Cost From, per GB Where it fits
Datacenter Standard ★★★★★ $ $3.50 Bulk page checks, rank tracking and QA on your own sites
Residential Suggested High ★★★ $$ $3.99 Local prices, search results, ads and marketplaces
Residential Premium Very high ★★★★ $$$ $6.50 Demanding sites, brand protection and client work
Mobile 4G/5G Very high ★★★ $$$$ $4.50 Apps built for phones and ads served on mobile networks

The rate charged is the one shown for the live plan at checkout.

Keeping LinkedIn work within the rules

We sell these proxies for legitimate business work: market and price research, ad verification, SEO, brand protection, QA and compliant automation, including running your own accounts inside each platform's rules. Whatever your team does through them has to stay within the terms of service of every site involved and the law that applies to you and your clients.

  • ✓Collect only publicly available information, and pace requests so the site isn't put under strain.
  • ✓No proxy can promise that an account escapes action by the platform. That depends mostly on how the account is used and whether it follows the terms.
  • ✓Personal details in collected pages, such as names, contact details or reviews, bring data-protection duties with them. Agree with your legal team what you keep and for how long.

The full rules are in our acceptable use policy.

LinkedIn proxies: questions from team leads

Be cautious. A tool that needs a proxy per profile is usually automating actions LinkedIn's User Agreement forbids, such as sending invitations or messages by bot. If it goes wrong, the restricted accounts belong to your salespeople. Ask the vendor how it complies with LinkedIn's terms, and prefer Sales Navigator or approved partners.
Yes. Point a logged-out browser at that country with residential targeting, open the public job post, and check the title, location, language and any pay range shown. Job search is driven mainly by the location entered, so to see roughly what local candidates see, search with that location as well as using the proxy.
Excessive or aggressive automation is the main cause, and no proxy can rule a restriction out. Clean sticky residential IPs carry less risk than datacenter ones, but keeping to LinkedIn's terms and realistic activity limits matters far more.
Yes. Location is a major signal on LinkedIn, so match the IP to where the account holder actually works.
Keep logged-in work on sticky residential sessions. Read-only checks of public pages can rotate, as long as they stay within LinkedIn's terms.
Sales Navigator runs in a normal browser, so a residential proxy set there behaves like any other site connection, and most outreach platforms accept standard HTTP(S) or SOCKS5 entries. Any automation they offer is still bound by LinkedIn's terms.

Refunds

Proxies that fail on arrival can be reported to support for up to 24 hours after delivery. Support swaps them, and where a working swap isn't possible, refunds the affected amount. Details are in the refund policy.

Support

People answer tickets 24/7. Open one from the Support page in your dashboard and include the order reference.

Logs

Our records cover billing and how much bandwidth each order used. The URLs, page content and destinations your team reaches are never logged.
