What teams use Threads proxies for

On social platforms, the proxy side of a team's work is mostly about seeing what an audience in another country sees: public profiles, ads, regional features and the pages behind shared links. Account access itself belongs with the platform's own tools and stays within its rules.

▸ Linked Instagram and Threads profiles
▸ Community replies and moderation

Running a brand on Threads: insights first, then market checks

Threads gives brands a text-first channel next to Instagram, and most of the work there needs no proxy: posting, replying, reading insights and scheduling through tools that connect via Meta's Threads API. A proxy earns its place when a team wants to open the pages its Threads links lead to, or a competitor's public profile, from the vantage point of a reader in another country.

Let insights choose the markets

Threads' insights data covers views, interactions and link clicks, and once a profile passes a follower threshold it adds follower locations by country and city. Use that to choose which markets get a regional check, rather than guessing, and revisit the list as the audience changes.

Publishing access through the API

Agencies don't need a client's password to post on Threads. A scheduling or publishing tool built on the Threads API has the profile owner grant permission on an authorisation screen, then posts with an access token. Browser bots that log in as the brand instead break Meta's terms.

Keep campaign tracking intact by market

Tag Threads links with campaign parameters, then click through a sample with the proxy set to each priority market. Check that the parameters survive any country redirect and that the local consent banner behaves as configured, or that market's Threads traffic will look smaller in analytics than it is.

Sizing the residential allowance

Base usage on the market list from insights: a short checklist per priority country, run before each campaign, with residential IPs doing the work. Bring in mobile 4G/5G only if your landing pages treat carrier traffic differently, and city targeting only if an offer changes city by city.

The plan we suggest for Threads

We suggest Mobile 4G/5G here. The IPs come from mobile carrier networks, so apps and sites behave as they do for phone users on cellular data. Threads runs on the same Meta trust systems as Instagram, so the same thinking about mobile IPs applies to brand profiles on both.

✓

Same stack as Instagram

Meta applies the same trust filters to Threads as to Instagram, which makes mobile 4G/5G the right class when a brand sets up its Threads presence.

✓

Cross-app continuity

Keep a brand's linked Instagram and Threads profiles on the same mobile IP, so both apps see one consistent connection for that account.

✓

Rotation control

Choose rotating or sticky for each account and each session, depending on whether someone is publishing or only reviewing.

✓

Antidetect compatible

Multilogin and Dolphin Anty accept our proxies, which helps agencies keep each client's browser profile separate. Using them to make one person look like many breaks Meta's rules on inauthentic accounts.

Matching each job to a plan

Most teams run more than one kind of job. Data is bought per plan, so volume checks can sit on a lower-cost plan while the jobs that need a household or carrier connection get one.

Several markets, one order

MIX packages are ready-made residential pools covering several countries at once, so a multi-market report can run from a single order.

Getting the team set up

Four steps take a team from order to first check, using the browsers and tools it already works with.

1

Size the order

Start on Mobile 4G/5G, the plan suggested above, and choose how many gigabytes the work needs. The proxy calculator shows the total first.

2

Pay by card or crypto

Stripe handles card payments and Cryptomus handles crypto. Each order is a one-off, valid for 30 days, with no subscription to cancel.

3

Set the market

Pick the country on the order form, together with the protocol and sign-in method, so agree which market the work covers before checkout.

4

Give the team access

The dashboard shows the login details once the payment has gone through. Pass them to the colleagues who need them, or whitelist the office IP so nobody has to type a password.

Rotation or a sticky session?

  • ▸Per-request rotation moves every request to a different IP. Use it for wide, read-only sweeps of public pages, such as price lists or search results.
  • ▸Sticky sessions hold one IP for a window you choose, typically 1-30 minutes, for signed-in or multi-step tasks such as stepping through a client's checkout.

Both are switched in the dashboard, and the options on offer depend on the plan. Keep request rates modest either way.

Signing in

  • ▸Username and password in the host:port:user:pass format that browsers, browser-profile tools and monitoring software accept.
  • ▸IP whitelist: add your office or server address in the dashboard, and anything connecting from it gets in without credentials, which suits shared office lines and scheduled jobs.

Both work over HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5, and the protocol can be changed later in the dashboard at no extra charge.

Match the IP to the market you report on

Search rankings, prices, ads and even which products appear can change with the visitor's country. Set the IP to the market your client or campaign targets, and the screenshots and figures your team files will line up with what customers there are shown.

  • ✓55+ countries to choose from.
  • ✓City-level targeting where the network supports it.
  • ✓One country per check keeps month-on-month results comparable.

United States United Kingdom Germany France Canada Australia Netherlands India Brazil Singapore

When a report doesn't match what the client sees on the ground, the IP's country is one of the first things to check.

How the four plans compare

Every plan bills per GB. The highlighted row is the plan we suggest for this work.

Plan Trust level Speed Cost From, per GB Where it fits
Datacenter Standard ★★★★★ $ $3.50 Bulk page checks, rank tracking and QA on your own sites
Residential High ★★★ $$ $3.99 Local prices, search results, ads and marketplaces
Residential Premium Very high ★★★★ $$$ $6.50 Demanding sites, brand protection and client work
Mobile 4G/5G Suggested Very high ★★★ $$$$ $4.50 Apps built for phones and ads served on mobile networks

The rate charged is the one shown for the live plan at checkout.

Keeping Threads work within the rules

We sell these proxies for legitimate business work: market and price research, ad verification, SEO, brand protection, QA and compliant automation, including running your own accounts inside each platform's rules. Whatever your team does through them has to stay within the terms of service of every site involved and the law that applies to you and your clients.

  • ✓Collect only publicly available information, and pace requests so the site isn't put under strain.
  • ✓No proxy can promise that an account escapes action by the platform. That depends mostly on how the account is used and whether it follows the terms.
  • ✓Personal details in collected pages, such as names, contact details or reviews, bring data-protection duties with them. Agree with your legal team what you keep and for how long.

The full rules are in our acceptable use policy.

Threads proxies: questions from team leads

At scale, only through approved tools. Meta's keyword search API returns public posts solely to apps it has approved for that permission, so a vendor offering Threads monitoring should be able to show that approval. Occasional manual checks of a competitor's public profile are fine; scraping Threads through proxies breaks Meta's terms.
No. Reach on Threads comes from followers, engagement and Meta's ranking systems, and posting from another country's IP is not a recognised way to grow. Logins that jump between countries can also prompt security checks on the brand profile. Grow a new market with posts written for it, then use the proxy to check what those readers land on.
If the two are linked, yes: one mobile IP keeps them consistent. Unrelated accounts, such as two different clients, should each have their own.
Yes, for the same reasons as Instagram: both run on Meta's mobile-first systems.
Yes, on the same basis as Instagram. Clean mobile IPs carry less risk than other proxy types, but Meta's terms and realistic activity levels decide most outcomes.
Yes. Optional session IDs keep one mobile IP in place while someone works on a profile.

Refunds

Proxies that fail on arrival can be reported to support for up to 24 hours after delivery. Support swaps them, and where a working swap isn't possible, refunds the affected amount. Details are in the refund policy.

Support

People answer tickets 24/7. Open one from the Support page in your dashboard and include the order reference.
