Microsoft Azure proxies for business teams

Check how your Azure-hosted apps respond in other countries and run API and portal automation on fast datacenter IPs, billed per GB, within Microsoft's terms.

What teams use Microsoft Azure proxies for

These are services companies deal with day to day, from review sites to cloud platforms. The proxy work is usually a check of what customers or users in another market are shown, inside each service's terms.

▸ Automating portal and API tasks
▸ Testing endpoints in several regions
▸ Watching uptime and response times
▸ CI jobs signed in by whitelisted IP

Azure-hosted sites for business teams: regional checks, monitoring and sign-in rules

Plenty of shops and marketing sites run on Azure App Service or behind Azure Front Door, and the business questions are practical. Does the site load properly in every market we sell to? Is it slow anywhere? Are monitoring and sign-in policies set up sensibly? Microsoft's own tools answer part of this, and a proxy adds the outside view from a chosen country.

Availability tests and the shopper's view

Application Insights standard tests request your site from Azure test locations worldwide and alert when it stops responding. They confirm the site answers, not what a shopper on a home connection sees, such as consent banners or regional redirects; a residential check from the target country covers that.

How the site feels from each market

Complaints that the shop is slow in one country are easier to judge with evidence. Load key pages through a residential exit there, note load times, allowing for the proxy's extra hop, and compare them with your Azure region and Front Door caching set-up before anyone commissions a redesign.

Staff sign-ins stay off the proxy

Microsoft Entra ID Protection flags sign-ins from anonymous IP addresses such as Tor or anonymous VPNs, and weighs unfamiliar IPs, networks and locations. Conditional Access can then require MFA or block access, so staff should sign in to Azure and other Microsoft work accounts on their normal connection.

A monthly routine the team can keep

List the markets that matter commercially, give each a named owner, and rerun the same handful of page checks after every App Service slot swap and once a month. File screenshots under the deployment that preceded them, so a regression in one country traces back quickly.

The plan we suggest for Microsoft Azure

We suggest Datacenter here. It costs less per GB than our other plans and loads public pages quickly wherever a site accepts datacenter traffic. API calls, portal automation, deployments and monitors: most work against Azure is server-to-server, and it values speed and low cost far more than a household IP. IPv4 datacenter proxies give those automated jobs the throughput they need, from the countries you choose, billed per GB of traffic.

✓

Stable IPs to whitelist

Allowlisting works best in the other direction: add your office or build-server IP to the proxy's whitelist and jobs connect without a password. An Azure NSG or resource-firewall rule for a proxy IP only holds while the sticky session using that IP lasts, so keep long-lived rules for addresses your company owns.

✓

High throughput

Parallel API calls, deployment scripts and monitoring jobs need bandwidth, and 1Gbps-class datacenter backbones supply it with low latency. There are none of the per-IP rate ceilings that residential pools bring.

✓

Region endpoint testing

Customers in other regions may get different latency or location-specific content from your Azure-hosted app. Requests sent through IPs in those countries let you confirm what each region actually receives.

✓

Standard protocols and auth

Point the Azure CLI, SDKs or a CI pipeline at the proxy through their usual proxy settings, over HTTP/HTTPS or SOCKS5. Credentials arrive as soon as payment clears, so a pipeline can be switched over the same day.

Matching each job to a plan

Most teams run more than one kind of job. Data is bought per plan, so volume checks can sit on a lower-cost plan while the jobs that need a household or carrier connection get one.

Several markets, one order

MIX packages are ready-made residential pools covering several countries at once, so a multi-market report can run from a single order.

Getting the team set up

Four steps take a team from order to first check, using the browsers and tools it already works with.

1

Size the order

Start on Datacenter, the plan suggested above, and choose how many gigabytes the work needs. The proxy calculator shows the total first.

2

Pay by card or crypto

Stripe handles card payments and Cryptomus handles crypto. Each order is a one-off, valid for 30 days, with no subscription to cancel.

3

Set the market

Pick the country on the order form, together with the protocol and sign-in method, so agree which market the work covers before checkout.

4

Give the team access

The dashboard shows the login details once the payment has gone through. Pass them to the colleagues who need them, or whitelist the office IP so nobody has to type a password.

Rotation or a sticky session?

  • ▸Per-request rotation moves every request to a different IP. Use it for wide, read-only sweeps of public pages, such as price lists or search results.
  • ▸Sticky sessions hold one IP for a window you choose, typically 1-30 minutes, for signed-in or multi-step tasks such as stepping through a client's checkout.

Both are switched in the dashboard, and the options on offer depend on the plan. Keep request rates modest either way.

Signing in

  • ▸Username and password in the host:port:user:pass format that browsers, browser-profile tools and monitoring software accept.
  • ▸IP whitelist: add your office or server address in the dashboard, and anything connecting from it gets in without credentials, which suits shared office lines and scheduled jobs.

Both work over HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5, and the protocol can be changed later in the dashboard at no extra charge.

Match the IP to the market you report on

Search rankings, prices, ads and even which products appear can change with the visitor's country. Set the IP to the market your client or campaign targets, and the screenshots and figures your team files will line up with what customers there are shown.

  • ✓55+ countries to choose from.
  • ✓City-level targeting where the network supports it.
  • ✓One country per check keeps month-on-month results comparable.

United States United Kingdom Germany France Canada Australia Netherlands India Brazil Singapore

When a report doesn't match what the client sees on the ground, the IP's country is one of the first things to check.

How the four plans compare

Every plan bills per GB. The highlighted row is the plan we suggest for this work.

Plan Trust level Speed Cost From, per GB Where it fits
Datacenter Suggested Standard ★★★★★ $ $3.50 Bulk page checks, rank tracking and QA on your own sites
Residential High ★★★ $$ $3.99 Local prices, search results, ads and marketplaces
Residential Premium Very high ★★★★ $$$ $6.50 Demanding sites, brand protection and client work
Mobile 4G/5G Very high ★★★ $$$$ $4.50 Apps built for phones and ads served on mobile networks

The rate charged is the one shown for the live plan at checkout.

Keeping Microsoft Azure work within the rules

We sell these proxies for legitimate business work: market and price research, ad verification, SEO, brand protection, QA and compliant automation, including running your own accounts inside each platform's rules. Whatever your team does through them has to stay within the terms of service of every site involved and the law that applies to you and your clients.

  • ✓Collect only publicly available information, and pace requests so the site isn't put under strain.
  • ✓No proxy can promise that an account escapes action by the platform. That depends mostly on how the account is used and whether it follows the terms.
  • ✓Personal details in collected pages, such as names, contact details or reviews, bring data-protection duties with them. Agree with your legal team what you keep and for how long.

The full rules are in our acceptable use policy.

Microsoft Azure proxies: questions from team leads

Yes, plan a change. Microsoft has deprecated URL ping tests in Application Insights and set their retirement for September 2028, with standard tests as the replacement. Migrating is a good moment to add a few manual checks from residential exits in your main markets, which catch problems the synthetic tests aren't built to see.
Datacenter covers routine reachability checks from target countries and costs least per GB of the four types. Add residential when the question is what a shopper on a home connection sees, such as consent prompts or local tag behaviour. Avoid downloading large files from Blob Storage through the proxy, since every GB is billed.
Rarely. Nearly everything your team sends to Azure is programmatic, so speed and cost per GB matter more than a household address. Residential costs more per GB and adds little here; stay on datacenter unless you are specifically testing how consumer-ISP users experience your app.
Only for a short job. A sticky session keeps one datacenter IP while it lasts, but addresses change between sessions and every order expires at the end of its validity, so permanent NSG or firewall entries should name an IP your company controls. The stable arrangement is the reverse one: whitelist your office or CI address on the proxy.
Yes, without leaving the office. Pick datacenter IPs in the countries you serve, send the same requests through each, and compare latency and any geo-conditional logic in the responses.
Not for routine work on your own subscriptions, such as testing, monitoring or automation. Microsoft's product terms and acceptable use policies apply all the same, so proxies are never a route around service limits, a way to abuse a service or a door into accounts you aren't authorised to manage.

Refunds

Proxies that fail on arrival can be reported to support for up to 24 hours after delivery. Support swaps them, and where a working swap isn't possible, refunds the affected amount. Details are in the refund policy.

Support

People answer tickets 24/7. Open one from the Support page in your dashboard and include the order reference.

Logs

Our records cover billing and how much bandwidth each order used. The URLs, page content and destinations your team reaches are never logged.
