Path of Exile proxies for business teams

Guide sites, creator teams and tool makers working on Path of Exile: datacenter exits near each gateway's audience and page checks that run the full league.

What teams use Path of Exile proxies for

Around games, the commercial work happens outside the game itself: store and price pages by region, sponsorship and ad checks, guide and community sites, and tests of your own services. Bots, automated play and shared accounts break most publishers' rules, and a proxy does not change that.

▸ Patch-note and build-guide checks each league
▸ Regional reviews of sponsor links
▸ Monitoring that runs for a whole league
▸ Testing a build site's speed abroad

Path of Exile league launches: what agencies and sponsors check

Commercial work around Path of Exile clusters at league launches, when creators stream new mechanics and sponsors pay for visibility. Agencies, peripheral brands and guide publishers then need proof that campaigns render correctly in each target market, plus clear rules for any tool they release. Since Path of Exile 2 entered early access in December 2024, one brief may need checks for both games.

Launch-week sponsor checks

When a sponsored stream, giveaway page or hardware bundle goes live around a league launch, open it from residential exits in each target country and record what a home viewer receives: language, currency and offer terms. Dated captures then feed the end-of-campaign report.

Rules for a branded companion tool

GGG's published third-party policy asks tools to state that they aren't affiliated with or endorsed by Grinding Gear Games. Any macro feature must be started manually by the user and perform one set function per use, so review a sponsored overlay or helper against both rules before launch.

Two games, separate pages

Path of Exile 2 has its own website, and its early access launched on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. Note in each brief which game and platform a promotion targets, so checks cover the right storefronts instead of both by habit.

The plan we suggest for Path of Exile

We suggest Datacenter here. It costs less per GB than our other plans and loads public pages quickly wherever a site accepts datacenter traffic. A Path of Exile league lasts months, and the business around it, from build-guide sites to creator teams and companion tools, needs public pages checked from its audience's regions for that whole stretch. Datacenter exits handle those page loads quickly, at a per-GB price that holds up over a long league.

✓

Smooth instanced gameplay

Smoothness inside an instance comes from the gateway a player picks and the game's network mode, not from a proxy, so creators should sort that out in the client. Where proxies help is the work around the stream, such as checking that build guides and sponsor links load well for viewers in each region.

✓

Pick the closest gateway

Players choose a gateway at login, and audiences group around those regions. Match your exits to where your readers or viewers come from, such as Western Europe, North America or Southeast Asia, and test pages from there rather than from the office.

✓

Connection that lasts the league

Monitoring often needs to run for as long as the league does. Order the data a league's checks will need, and switch on auto-renew for that order if coverage should continue without a gap; it stays off unless you turn it on.

✓

Instant, no-friction access

Whether finance pays by card, processed by Stripe, or in crypto on a Cryptomus checkout, the plan is listed on the dashboard once the payment goes through. On league-launch day, the team can be checking pages minutes after ordering instead of waiting for someone to approve an account.

Matching each job to a plan

Most teams run more than one kind of job. Data is bought per plan, so volume checks can sit on a lower-cost plan while the jobs that need a household or carrier connection get one.

Several markets, one order

MIX packages are ready-made residential pools covering several countries at once, so a multi-market report can run from a single order.

Getting the team set up

Four steps take a team from order to first check, using the browsers and tools it already works with.

1

Size the order

Start on Datacenter, the plan suggested above, and choose how many gigabytes the work needs. The proxy calculator shows the total first.

2

Pay by card or crypto

Stripe handles card payments and Cryptomus handles crypto. Each order is a one-off, valid for 30 days, with no subscription to cancel.

3

Set the market

Pick the country on the order form, together with the protocol and sign-in method, so agree which market the work covers before checkout.

4

Give the team access

The dashboard shows the login details once the payment has gone through. Pass them to the colleagues who need them, or whitelist the office IP so nobody has to type a password.

Rotation or a sticky session?

  • ▸Per-request rotation moves every request to a different IP. Use it for wide, read-only sweeps of public pages, such as price lists or search results.
  • ▸Sticky sessions hold one IP for a window you choose, typically 1-30 minutes, for signed-in or multi-step tasks such as stepping through a client's checkout.

Both are switched in the dashboard, and the options on offer depend on the plan. Keep request rates modest either way.

Signing in

  • ▸Username and password in the host:port:user:pass format that browsers, browser-profile tools and monitoring software accept.
  • ▸IP whitelist: add your office or server address in the dashboard, and anything connecting from it gets in without credentials, which suits shared office lines and scheduled jobs.

Both work over HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5, and the protocol can be changed later in the dashboard at no extra charge.

Match the IP to the market you report on

Search rankings, prices, ads and even which products appear can change with the visitor's country. Set the IP to the market your client or campaign targets, and the screenshots and figures your team files will line up with what customers there are shown.

  • ✓55+ countries to choose from.
  • ✓City-level targeting where the network supports it.
  • ✓One country per check keeps month-on-month results comparable.

When a report doesn't match what the client sees on the ground, the IP's country is one of the first things to check.

How the four plans compare

Every plan bills per GB. The highlighted row is the plan we suggest for this work.

Plan Trust level Speed Cost From, per GB Where it fits
Datacenter Suggested Standard ★★★★★ $ $3.50 Bulk page checks, rank tracking and QA on your own sites
Residential High ★★★ $$ $3.99 Local prices, search results, ads and marketplaces
Residential Premium Very high ★★★★ $$$ $6.50 Demanding sites, brand protection and client work
Mobile 4G/5G Very high ★★★ $$$$ $4.50 Apps built for phones and ads served on mobile networks

The rate charged is the one shown for the live plan at checkout.

Keeping Path of Exile work within the rules

We sell these proxies for legitimate business work: market and price research, ad verification, SEO, brand protection, QA and compliant automation, including running your own accounts inside each platform's rules. Whatever your team does through them has to stay within the terms of service of every site involved and the law that applies to you and your clients.

  • ✓Collect only publicly available information, and pace requests so the site isn't put under strain.
  • ✓No proxy can promise that an account escapes action by the platform. That depends mostly on how the account is used and whether it follows the terms.
  • ✓Personal details in collected pages, such as names, contact details or reviews, bring data-protection duties with them. Agree with your legal team what you keep and for how long.

The full rules are in our acceptable use policy.

Path of Exile proxies: questions from team leads

Residential for verifying sponsored placements in each target country, because ad platforms may treat server addresses differently from home viewers. Datacenter covers patch notes, announcement pages and partner landing pages at lower cost. Both bill per GB; launch streams embedded in pages are the expensive part, so capture those once and reuse the recording.
No. GGG's terms forbid trading in-game items or currency for real money, and accounts caught doing it are banned. Promoting such a seller ties your brand to that breach, whatever network setup the seller uses. Supporter packs and the in-game shop run by GGG are the legitimate ways players spend money on the game.
Routing your connection through a proxy is usually acceptable in itself, but GGG's terms still govern the account and how it's used. Bots and other banned automation, selling items for real money and any other breach stay off limits for staff, creators and clients alike, whatever IP they connect from.
A proxy doesn't make a rule-breaking trade safe and gives no protection from GGG's policies. Creators can use one for ordinary connectivity, but every trade still has to follow the game's trading and account rules.
No. Use GGG's official developer API under its terms, or community services that publish price data you're allowed to reuse. API access comes with documented rate limits, which keeps a tool inside the rules.
Sticky for anything with several steps, rotating for one-off reads of public pages. Most guide-site and sponsor checks are short sequences, so sticky is the usual default for a Path of Exile team.

Refunds

Proxies that fail on arrival can be reported to support for up to 24 hours after delivery. Support swaps them, and where a working swap isn't possible, refunds the affected amount. Details are in the refund policy.

Support

People answer tickets 24/7. Open one from the Support page in your dashboard and include the order reference.

Logs

Our records cover billing and how much bandwidth each order used. The URLs, page content and destinations your team reaches are never logged.
